Angels Among Us
Lives are changed daily by the kind, generous and selfless acts of others. "Angels Among Us" is our way of trying to recognize those in our community that make a difference in the lives of others through acts of service and compassion. It may be a neighbor, a public figure, a family member, or a complete stranger that goes out of their way to be an Angel in your life or the lives of others in Central MN and beyond.
"Angels" will be recognized and honored throughout each day in a 60 second on-air feature Thursday through Sunday of each week!

Winner: Avon Food Shelf Volunteers
We're happy to recognize the dedicated and faithful volunteers at the Avon Food Shelf. Each of these wonderful men and women volunteer many hours of thier time to help ensure that families in the community receive the food and supplies they need to lead healthy lives. They come with smiles on thier faces and compassion in thier hearts.

About 6 months ago I was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma. As a single mom I felt so afraid and alone in this. But Tracey, my Pastor's wife, has been there for me...bringing my family meals and praying with me. It just means so much to my children and I to have her there. I believe she is God's gift to us to help us endure this difficult journey.

"I met Joy about 10 yrs. ago when I was at a point in my life where I had finally hit rock bottom, and was searching for hope. I was incarcerated at the time and somewhat reluctantly attended a women's bible study one evening, where I met Joy, and she introduced me to Jesus Christ. Today I am happily married with 2 beautiful children who call Joy "Grandma". Joy and I serve together in the same bible study where we met. I thank God for bringing JOY into my life...my friend Joy who introduced me to his love, and the joy that replaced the pain in my heart the night I put my trust in him."
